An evening at the Park

Dale's softball season just ended so we went to watch him play at one of his last games. One of the parks where he plays has a really nice playground and the kids really enjoyed playing before the game started.

Brooke's 1st day of Kindergarten

This is was a big day for us. I thought we were both really ready for her to go to kindergarten but it's been pretty lonely around here without "sissy" around. And after the first couple days of school she has been pretty sad each morning to have to leave her brothers at home. She seems to think that they are having too much fun without her. If she only knew :)

Journaling:
Brooke, I cannot believe that your first day of kindergarten has arrived. You have grown so quickly it seems. You are the light in your Daddy’s eye and the joy of your Mommy’s heart. We are so proud of the unique and bright and beautiful 5 year old you have become. Today you start a new journey and we are so excited for you - for what and who you will become. We are praying that as you grow in knowledge that your heart will always stay as tender as it is today. We pray for each teacher who will guide you that they will only teach you good and

Completely and Totally Happy

These pics were taken at Megan's wedding in Destin, FL. Being on the beach in the warm sun was so relaxing. The kids loved it! Today Connor saw this layout and he said, "My want to go back to the beach." You know, we used to live 5 miles from the beach. What were we thinking?

It's A Guy Thing

I really think these pictures speak for themselves. Randy took these at Liam's 1st b'day party and I've been waiting to scrap them (I'm not sure why...I guess I haven't been inspired). I think they are so cute and so hilarious!

My Beautiful Boy

I am really pleased with this layout. This is a beautiful kit by Gina Cabrera and it's the Kit of the Month at Digishoptalk. I'm going to do a page for "My Beatiful Girl" and "My Beautiful Baby" so stop back by.

Journaling:
You are truly and completely beautiful! Your sunkissed hair, your deep blue eyes, your pale and perfect skin. Your long eyelashes, the tiny freckles on your nose and the little mole on your temple. Your infections giggle which turns into gales of laughter. Your sweet and sensitive nature. Your complete love for your brother and sister. You ARE the most beautiful boy I’ve ever seen.

Ragamuffin

I took this picture the other day and didn't really think I'd do anyting with it. Today I was looking through pictures and it caught my eye because it is so Brooke right now. She is such a little tomboy (unless she is dressing up in princess clothes that is) and she is just so busy all the time. She doesn't like sitting still for me to fix her hair so there is always a little drama involved! I have gotten to where if she brushes her hair in the morning I pretty much don't bother her about it unless we are going somewhere. I do fix it up if she runs down the street to play with her friend. I'm still a little self conscious about the neighbors seeing her this way :) I'm sure I"ll get over that soon enough!

Journaling:
I took this picture the other day when we were coming home from our Memphis trip. I don’t know what possessed me to pull out my camera - I guess the way you were peeking over the seat at me. Your hair is all messy as it always is these days and you are much to busy to fix it or to let me fix it. You have too many other important things to be doing. It reminds me of pictures of me when I was just your age. I have asked Grammy many times why she let me go around looking like a “ragamuffin.” Now I understand it. I understand completely!

The kit that I used was called Mocha Latte and it inspired me to do this page in tribute to two of my special friends :)

Journaling:

Yes, java. A cup of coffee. Sometimes I need a jolt in the morning, a little boost
to get me going. During the day when I’m a little sluggish I drive through
Starbucks and get a Mocha Latte - a little treat to give me that mid-day break.
In the evenings I’ll curl up with a warm mug and a book and sip . . . just
relaxing. Jen J. and MQ, you’re my Java. When we chat for just a moment and
you lift my spirits and give me a laugh it keeps me going. Other times we slow
down, relax, spend time and your friendship is like a sweet Mocha Latte.

The Bicentennial Mall Fountains

I finished my LO of Brooke' s pics from the fountains and then I added it onto Connor's. As you can see if you look at the original page I did below, I changed Connor's up a little bit. I like it better. Sometimes you just have to cypher on something until you get it right. Make sure to enlarge the picture so you can get a good look at Brooke's picture. It is pretty funny. The journaling on Brooke's page reads:

I got such a kick out of watching you play today.
When I looked over and saw your bathing suit
all puffed out with air and water I just couldn’t
stop laughing...you were so oblivious. And when
you walked away your bathing suit was still
puffed out which made you look like you had
quite a “booty” on you. I still have a good
chuckle when I look at this picture!
